Curriculum Information
Our curriculum is designed to enrich your child’s play time.  We will have fun while acting, singing rhymes, pretending, and listening to stories.  These are all early pre-reading skills which will help with reading later on.  We will do sorting, patterning, matching, and grouping of items which are all early math skills.  However, we will not be teaching your child to identify or write letters.  They will have plenty of opportunities to paint, draw, color, and play with shaving cream,  play-dough and other messy stuff.  Remember we are not a school... this is enriched play!  We hope you will come join the fun!

We alternate themes within our program each year.  Our Rhyme Time curriculum allows us to have fun with nursery rhymes and enriched play activities that provide play and brain building time, too.   Our Alphabet Soup curriculum is great because we are spooning up fun in every taste!  Within each day’s "bite", we have a letter to explore and a Bible verse.  We read lots of children’s literature related to our daily theme.

We include one short video related to our theme each day and we have table time, art, snacks, story time, outside & gym play, and free play.    We include silly games and silly songs, too!   Babies and one-year-olds will enjoy cuddles, songs, and books, all day long, from loving care- givers, but no set curriculum or lesson is used.

Health & Security:

Our teachers and workers strive to maintain a sanitary, secure environment for you child's safety.  We thoroughly clean toys, rooms, beds, changing areas and everything within our classroom environment.  We want to keep your little ones safe and healthy.

We have a screening program that also ensures the safety of your children and our teachers.  Our teachers are chosen with complete background checks and glowing resumes.  Other adults will not be allowed into the classrooms.  We will also instruct you with our security tags for pick up time.   All our teachers have received CPR training.

Most importantly, we provide a loving, nurturing, Christian atmosphere for your child to grow in God's love. At FBW it is our goal to provide more than child care.  We believe children at this age begin to develop values that will mold them for the rest of their lives.  Therefore, we want to provide a learning environment that will help your child know the love of Christ and find MDO an enjoyable place to be.
